(MyFantasyLeague.com Fantasy Times Sources - Jan 3, 2010) In a week 17 Northwest Fantasy Football battle, Weinhard Blitzers beat a strong Oly Outlaws team by a score of 51 to 38, extending the winning streak for Weinhard Blitzers to 3 games.

Willis McGahee

Weinhard Blitzers were led to their 13 point victory by a 22 point effort from Willis McGahee, who beat the Oakland Raiders defense for 167 rushing yards and 3 rushing TDs. With this performance, McGahee was the number 1 ranked overall fantasy scorer for week 17. They also got help from a 11 point effort from Nate Kaeding, who snuck past the Washington Redskins defense for 3 field goals made and 2 extra points.

"We weren't going to just lie down," Weinhard Blitzers coach Jon VanValkenburg said.

Oly Outlaws were helped out in a losing cause by a 11 point effort from Aaron Rodgers, who got by the Arizona Cardinals defense for 235 passing yards and 1 passing TD in addition to 2 rushing yards. With this performance, Rodgers was the number 3 ranked quarterback for week 17. They also got help from a 7 point effort from Terrell Owens, who snuck past the Indianapolis Colts defense for 65 receiving yards and 1 receiving TD.

"They've had our number all season," Oly Outlaws coach Ron Wyatt said.

Oly Outlaws drew the short straw with their schedule this week, as their point total would have resulted in a win against 8 out of 10 other potential opponents in week 17.

This brings the record for Weinhard Blitzers to 8-5, and drops Oly Outlaws to a record of 7-6.
