.McNabb throws two TDs in Week 11 win (Rotoworld) Donovan McNabb completed 23-for-32 passes for 244 yards, two touchdowns and an interception in the Eagles' Week 11 win over the Bears. Analysis: McNabb also scrambled four times for five yards. He made a fair amount of questionable decisions and some pretty bad throws, but also made plenty of big plays. His 48-yard over-the-top touchdown strike to DeSean Jackson in the third quarter was a thing of beauty. McNabb and the Eagles host the Redskins in Week 12.2 hours
.Shaun Suisham (RotoWire) Suisham went 2/4 on fields in Week 11, missing his first kicks of the season. Analysis: The makes were from 45 and 31 yards while the misses were from 39 and 50.3 hours
.Jason Campbell (RotoWire) Campbell completed 24 of 37 passes for 256 yards and one interception in Week 11. The pick came on a tipped pass the end the game. Analysis: The offensive line struggled once again to provide time for Campbell in the pocket. Many of his passes were quick drops and short passes. He faces a tough Eagles defense in Week 12.3 hours
.Rinehart has broken fibula (FFChamps) According to the Washington Post, Washington Redskins' guard Chad Rinehart broke his fibula in the team's 7-6 loss to the Cowboys. Analysis: The Redskins' offensive line is awful. It just got even worse. Edwin Williams will likely be forced into the starting lineup with the loss of Rinehart, and Redskin fans and fantasy owners can probably look forward to more single-digit scoring outputs like today's masterpiece.4 hours
.Randy Moss (RotoWire) Moss had five catches for 34 yards with a touchdown in Sunday's win over the Jets. Analysis: The Jets managed to contain Moss for the most part, but in doing so they allowed Wes Welker to run wild, as he hauled in 15 passes for 192 yards Sunday. Next Monday, it will be the Saints who will need to pick their poison in determining how to cover the Pats' talented wideout duo.5 hours
.Bengals | Palmer runs two TDs in Week 11 (KFFL) The Associated Press reports Cincinnati Bengals QB Carson Palmer was 14-for-22 for 207 yards with an interception Week 11 against the Oakland Raiders. He did have four carries for seven yards with two one-yard touchdown runs. He is the first Bengals quarterback to rush for two touchdowns since former QB Jack Thompson in 1979. 6 hours
.Felix Jones (RotoWire) Jones had 10 carries for 49 yards and added one catch for seven yards in Sunday's 7-6 win over Washington. Analysis: Believe it or not, 10 carries represents a career high for Jones. Marion Barber was the usual workhorse for Dallas on Sunday with 20 rushes, but Jones looks like the clear-cut No. 2 as Tashard Choice had only one carry for one yard.6 hours
.Moss gets touchdown, but Revis wins (Rotoworld) Randy Moss caught five passes for 34 yards with a touchdown in Sunday's win over the Jets. Analysis: Moss' touchdown came on a weird play where Tom Brady seemed to break off the route and Darrelle Revis didn't appear ready. Other than that, Revis got the better of Moss again. For all the talk of help over the top, Revis was in one-on-one coverage most of the day. Expect Moss to bounce back against the Saints next week.6 hours
.Carson Palmer scores two rushing TDs (Rotoworld) Carson Palmer completed 14-of-22 passes for no touchdowns and one interception in the Bengals' Week 11 loss. Analysis: Two fluky one-yard rushing touchdowns saved his fantasy day; coming into the game he had not scrambled for a score since Week 2. The Bengals went with a run-heavy attack initially, and struggled to make plays in the passing game when the Raiders kept it close late. Palmer has a highly favorable stretch run schedule, however (vs. CLE, vs. DET, @ MIN), so keep him going.6 hours
.Willie Parker (RotoWire) Parker carried six times for 24 yards and caught one pass for 11 yards in Sunday's game against the Chiefs. Analysis: Offensive Coordinator Bruce Arians said Parker still had a role in the offense and made sure to get Parker more involved than he had been in the prior three games. Those who have Rashard Mendenhall on their roster still have no need to worry though as Mendenhall continues to prove he is simply the better back right now (he had 116 total yards and a touchdown against KC).8 hours
.Dallas Clark (RotoWire) Clark had just one catch for three yards in Sunday's win at Baltimore, but it went for a touchdown. Analysis: Clark has been fairly quiet over the last couple of games, a sign that he is getting a lot of attention from opposing defenses.8 hours
.Campbell plays well in loss (Rotoworld) Jason Campbell completed 24-of-37 passes for 256 yards with no touchdowns and one interception in Sunday's loss to the Cowboys. Analysis: Campbell actually played relatively well in this one, as he broke the pocket and made some plays. He showed nice touch on swing passes to Rock Cartwright and surprisingly only took one sack. Cartwright has a difficult matchup at Philadelphia next week.8 hours
.Redskins | Suisham misses two FGs Week 11 (KFFL) The Associated Press reports Washington Redskins PK Shaun Suisham successfully converted just two of his four field goal attempts Week 11. Suisham was good from 45 and 31 yards, but he missed a 39-yard attempt before halftime and a 50-yard attempt that would've given the team a 9-0 lead in the fourth quarter. Suisham was 13-for-13 this year before the two misses. 9 hours
.Jones is more active against Redskins (Rotoworld) Felix Jones rushed 10 times for 49 yards and caught one pass for seven yards in Sunday's win over the Redskins. Analysis: Owner Jerry Jones wanted to see more of Jones this week, and he got it. Tashard Choice barely sniffed the field as Jones got some series to himself. Still, this kind of workload is not enough for Jones to have much fantasy value. He's always a threat to break one, but needs to be on benches for now.9 hours
.Bills' Jackson nets 55 yards in Week 11 (Rotoworld) Fred Jackson rushed nine times for 35 yards and caught four passes for 20 yards in Week 11 against the Jaguars. Analysis: Jackson took over in the second quarter after Marshawn Lynch departed with a knee injury. He ran effectively and did a nice job in the Bills' passing game. If Lynch's injury is serious, Jackson could be an attractive fantasy play next week against the Dolphis.9 hours
.Fred Jackson (RotoWire) Jackson's teammate Marshawn Lynch (left shoulder) returned to the field after halftime Sunday wearing street clothes and Jackson received all the running back carries in the second half. Analysis: Jackson had his moments Sunday, but overall didn't produce too much for the fantasy world with nine carries for 35 yards and four catches for 20 yards. However, he'd receive a significant boost in value again if Lynch's injury were to keep him on the sidelines for multiple games.10 hours
.Clark taken out of the game by Ravens (Rotoworld) Dallas Clark was held to one catch for three yards Sunday, although that catch went for a touchdown. Analysis: Clark's made his one grab worth it, as he spectacularly caught an overthrown ball with one hand in the corner of the end zone. Clark was strangely quiet after that though as Peyton Manning used backup tight end Tom Santi as his main underneath target. Expect a bounce back against the Texans next week.10 hours
.Lynch injures shoulder (FFChamps) Bills running back Marshawn Lynch left Sunday's game against the Jaguars with a shoulder injury. Lynch ran eight times for 18 yards, but on his last carry, fumbled the ball, got injured and was carted to the locker room. He returned in the second half in his street clothes. Analysis: Fred Jackson will take over at running back and will get a majority of the carries. If Lynch's injury is serious, this could turn a revival of Jackson's early season success when he was the primary ball carrier for the Bills.10 hours
.Colts inactives for Week 11 (FFChamps) The Indianapolis Colts have announced the following players as inactive for today's game against the Baltimore Ravens: QB Jim Sorgi, K Adam Vinatieri, WR Anthony Gonzalez, CB Kelvin Hayden, RB Mike Hart, DB Aaron Francisco, G Mike Pollak and TE Gijon Robinson. Analysis: Matt Stover will continue the kicking duties for the Colts; while rookie receivers Pierre Garcon (who was questionable) and Austin Collie will get a fair amount of targets against the Baltimore defense.14 hours
.Jaguars inactives for Week 11 (FFChamps) The Jacksonville Jaguars have announced the following players as inactive for today's game against the Buffalo Bills: WR Tiquan Underwood, CB Rashean Mathis, MLB Justin Durant, DT Derek Landri, DE Greg Peterson, G Maurice Williams, and T Tra Thomas. Analysis: Durant is the key loss for the Jaguars today. He is the anchor of the Jags' 4-3 defense and will be missed in stopping Marshawn Lynch and Fred Jackson.14 hours
.Saints inactives for Week 11 (FFChamps) The New Orleans Saints have declared the following players as inactive for today's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers: RB Reggie Bush, WR Lance Moore, CB Chris McAlister, DT Sedrick Ellis, CBs Jabari Greer and Tracy Porter, K Garrett Hartley, and LB Jonathan Casillas. Analysis: Bush finally appeared to be working his way into the Saints' offense in 2009, but his surgically-repaired knee flared up on him this week, and he will not play today against the Bucs. The defense is sho... (More)14 hours
.Saints | Bush inactive (KFFL) NFL.com reports New Orleans Saints RB Reggie Bush (knee) is inactive against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 11. 14 hours
.Saints declare inactives (Rotoworld) Saints declared RB Reggie Bush, WR Lance Moore, CB Chris McAlister, DT Sedrick Ellis, CBs Jabari Greer and Tracy Porter, K Garrett Hartley, and LB Jonathan Casillas inactive for Week 11. Analysis: Bush didn't make the flight to Tampa Bay. Pierre Thomas is a strong bet for 18-20 touches and 100+ rushing yards in this favorable matchup. Robert Meachem also gets a slight value bump with Moore (high ankle sprain) still out.14 hours
.Reggie Bush doesn't fly with team to Tampa Bay (FFToolbox) A source close to the New Orleans Saints told the Associated Press that running back Reggie Bush did not fly with the team for its game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. A team spokesman said Saturday that Bush had been downgraded on the official injury report from questionable with a knee injury. Bush missed all of practice this week with swelling in his left knee, the same knee on which he had surgery last December to repair cartilage. This will be the first game Bush has missed in 2009. He missed 10 of his previous 20 games before 2009. He is expected to return to practice next week. Bush has 484... (More)1 day
.Bush doesn't travel with team, out Sunday (FFChamps) According to ESPN.com, New Orleans Saints' running back Reggie Bush did not travel with the team to Tampa, and will not play Sunday against the Buccaneers. Bush missed practice this week due to swelling in his left knee, and the Saints are being especially cautious because it's the same knee that Bush had surgically repaired late last season. Analysis: Bush's absence gives Pierre Thomas' fantasy value a boost against the Buccaneers. The two practically play different positions, but Reggie is a scary red-zone option because of his versatilit... (More)1 day
.Reggie Bush (RotoWire) Bush has officially been ruled out of Sunday's game against the Buccaneers, the Associated Press reports. He did not travel with the team to Tampa. Analysis: Bush missed practice all week with swelling in his left knee, but expects to return to practice next week.1 day
.Bush not traveling with team (TheHuddle) Updating a previous report, The Associated Press reports New Orleans Saints RB Reggie Bush (knee) is not traveling with the team for their Week 11 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, according to a person familiar with the decision. Bush is expected to return to practice next week. Analysis: This contradicts what the HC xxx and Bush had been saying all week, but it makes sense. The team is 9-0 and heading into a winnable game in Tampa. The Saints are being cautious and want to avoid a setback with Bush's knee, which has been surgically repaired a number of times. Look for Pierre Thomas to star... (More)1 day
.Reggie Bush (RotoWire) Bush (knee) is not making the trip to Tampa for Sunday's game against the Buccaneers, the Associated Press reports. Analysis: This hasn't been made official, but it's not much of a surprise considering Bush missed practice all week. Find another option if you were planning to start Bush on Sunday.1 day
.Reggie Bush will not play against Tampa ... (Rotoworld) Reggie Bush (knee) and Sedrick Ellis (MCL sprain) have been downgraded to "out" and will not travel with the team to Tampa. Analysis: The Saints want to avoid a setback with Bush's oft-surgically repaired knee. Against the Bucs, Pierre Thomas will carry the bulk of the load with Mike Bell coming in as a change-of-pace back and perhaps end-game "closer." Look for more receptions from Thomas. Anthony Hargrove will continue to play starter's snaps in Ellis' absence.1 day
.Saints | Bush not travelling with team (KFFL) Brett Martel, of The Associated Press, reports New Orleans Saints RB Reggie Bush (knee) is not travelling with the team for their Week 11 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, according to a person familiar with the decision. Bush is expected to return to practice next week. 1 day
.Saints | Three take reps as punt returners in practice (KFFL) Mike Triplett, of the New Orleans Times-Picayune, reports New Orleans Saints WR Devery Henderson, RB Pierre Thomas and FS Darren Sharper took reps in practice this week as punt returners in place of RB Reggie Bush (knee). 1 day
.Saints | Not ruling Bush out for Week 11 (KFFL) Mike Triplett, of the New Orleans Times-Picayune, reports New Orleans Saints RB Reggie Bush (knee) was held out of practice Friday, Nov. 20 with a bruised left knee. However, head coach Sean Payton didn't rule him out of Week 11. "It's a knee bruise. With that, there's swelling," said Payton, who considers Bush's injury more of a temporary issue than a long-term concern despite Bush's history of more significant left knee injuries. "It's just a matter of trying to keep it immobilized, ice, treatment, seeing where it's at tomorrow." Whether or not he is active, Payton indicated that Bush might not be avai... (More)1 day
.Jones limited, questionable (FFChamps) Houston Texans' wide receiver Jacoby Jones (calf) was limited in practice Friday, and is listed as questionable for Monday night's game against the Tennessee Titans. Analysis: Jones was limited in practice, and appears will not be 100% by gametime, even with the extra day to rest and heal. Jones is a supremely athletic wideout with big play potential in the Texans' high octane offense. He is terribly inconsistent though. Obviously, as long as robo-receiver Andre Johnson is in town, Jones will never be more than a second option. More)2 days
.Coles probable (FFChamps) Cincinnati Bengals' wide receiver Laveranues Coles (head) practiced fully on Friday, and is listed as probable for the team's game versus the Oakland Raiders. Analysis: Coles will most likely be good-to-go for Sunday. You have to think Chad Ochocinco will be blanketed by all-world cover specialist Nnamdi Asomugha for most of the contest, so Coles may get even more looks than normal this weekend (though, as it stands, he has led the team in targets over the past two weeks). Coles is no longer the deep threat he was in New York, but he is a v... (More)2 days
.Finley looks like a go (FFChamps) Green Bay Packers' tight end Jermichael Finley practiced fully again on Friday, and is now listed as probable for this Sunday's game against the San Francisco 49ers. He has missed the last three games with a sprained left knee. Analysis: Finley was able to practice all week, and looks to be a go for this Sunday. His status for Week 11 has been upgraded to probable, but he is still a very shaky fantasy play. Unless you play in a deep league that starts two tight ends, you can probably do better than Finley, at least for Week 11.2 days
.Bush misses third consecutive practice (FFChamps) New Orleans Saints' running back Reggie Bush missed his third straight practice on Friday. Bush has been experiencing trouble with his surgically-repaired knee all week, and is listed as questionable for his team's matchup with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday. Analysis: Bush's two-touchdown performance last weekend against the Rams is a big reason why the Saints are still undefeated. Though he doesn't really fit the prototype for any position in the NFL, Bush is a rare overall athlete, and he showed the impact he can have on a game last Sunday. There is a lot of speculation that Bush will not be ab... (More)2 days
.Saints | Bush misses practice Friday, questionable for Week 11 (KFFL) New Orleans Saints RB Reggie Bush (knee) missed the team's practice Friday, Nov. 20. He is listed as questionable for Week 11, but he might not play in the game. 2 days
.Reggie Bush questionable for Sunday (FFToolbox) New Orleans Saints running back Reggie Bush missed practice for the third consecutive day Friday and is listed as questionable for Sunday's game at Tampa Bay. Head coach Sean Payton said Bush knows the offense well enough that he could step in without the practice reps. But at the same time, he doesn't want to risk a setback with Bush, whose injury has been labeled a knee bruise. Although the knee that is bugging Bush is the same left knee that he had surgically-repaired this offseason, Payton said he's not concerned about this latest injury developing into a long-term problem. Analysis: Typical More)2 days
.Randy Moss (RotoWire) Moss is not listed on the Patriots' injury report for Sunday's game against the Jets, the Boston Globe reports. Analysis: The last time the Patriots faced the Jets, cornerback Darrelle Revis held Moss to four catches for 24 yards. Revis is the real deal, but the Patriots' offense -- and that includes the rapport between QB Tom Brady and Moss -- has been clicking of late, so what happened back in Week 2 shouldn't deter you from rolling with Moss, who we are guessing would like to turn the tables around on Sunday.2 days
.Bush questionable for Week 11 (TheHuddle) ESPN.com reports New Orleans Saints RB Reggie Bush (knee) did not practice Friday, Nov. 20, and is questionable for Week 11. Analysis: Much like Cedric Benson with the Bengals, Bush could conceivably play, but the Saints may choose to rest him in a game they should win against Tampa Bay. If Bush does sit out, the value of Pierre Thomas should rise significantly. Mike Bell's value should also rise, although he's had 11 fewer rushing attempts than Thomas in the last two games combined.2 days
.Saints | Bush questionable for Week 11 (KFFL) ESPN.com reports New Orleans Saints RB Reggie Bush (knee) did not practice Friday, Nov. 20, and is questionable for Week 11. 2 days
.Reggie Bush (RotoWire) Bush (knee) did not practice again on Friday and is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against Tampa Bay, the New Orleans Times-Picayune reports. Analysis: Coach Sean Payton said that Bush knows the offense well enough to play without practicing all week, but also cautioned that he doesn't want to risk a setback. Because New Orleans plays in the early wave of games on Sunday, we'll have official word on Bush's status Sunday morning. At this point, we're not overly optimistic.2 days
.Reggie Bush misses a third straight prac... (Rotoworld) Reggie Bush (questionable, knee) missed his third straight practice Friday and appears unlikely to play at Tampa Bay. Analysis: Pierre Thomas will carry the load in an ideal matchup, with Mike Bell chipping in as an early-down change of pace back. Coach Sean Payton said Bush likely wouldn't even be available for punt return duties. The Saints want to avoid a setback with Bush's knee, which he's had surgically repaired several times before. They'll likely play it safe so he's available for the stretch run.2 days
.Ownwe wants more touches for F. Jones (TheHuddle) The Dallas Morning News reports Dallas Cowboys owner/general manager Jerry Jones said he would like to see RB Felix Jones get more touches because he believes Jones would be a big-time producer with more opportunities. Analysis: More touches would further muddle an already crowded Cowboy backfield from a Fantasy perspective. More importantly, however, Felix Jones doesn't seem to have the burst he possessed before being hurt against Carolina. That may be part of the reason that, when Jones is on the field, offensive coordinator Jason Garre... (More)2 days
.Cowboys | Owner would like to see F. Jones get more touches (KFFL) Gerry Fraley, of The Dallas Morning News, reports Dallas Cowboys owner/general manager Jerry Jones said he would like to see RB Felix Jones get more touches because he believes Jones would be a big-time producer with more opportunities. 2 days
.Willie Parker (RotoWire) Offensive Coordinator Bruce Arians said Parker still has a role in the ground attack, reports the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. Analysis: Arians hinted Parker may have been involved more against the Bengals if Rashard Mendenhall hadn't received such a low number of carries (13). As well, Mewelde Moore came in on a series designated for Parker when the team decided to go no-huddle. Regardless, the starting job belongs to Mendenhall. Parker may see a few more touches if the rotation goes as planned or if the Steelers are up big in a game, but it's not enough to warrant considering him for fantasy purposes at this point.2 days
.Jerry Jones: Put the ball in Felix's han... (Rotoworld) Cowboys owner Jerry Jones reiterated that he wants to see the ball in Felix Jones' hands more often. Analysis: "We need to get him in situations outside, or where he has a little space, and we'll see some of that," Jones said. Coach Wade Phillips said the same thing earlier in the week before admitting that Felix's struggles in pass protection have kept him off the field. Expect to see a few more touches per game now that Jones is healthy, but he won't have a significant impact on Marion Barber's value.2 days
.Steve Smith (RotoWire) Smith caught seven passes for 87 yards and a touchdown in Thursday's loss to Miami. Analysis: Despite the lack of other wideouts around him to draw the attention of opposing defenses, Smith has quietly started to produce for his fantasy owners in recent weeks. Over the last four games, Smith is averaging 12 fantasy points per game with 18 catches for 241 yards and four touchdowns during that span.2 days
.Steve Smith posts 87 yards, TD in loss (Rotoworld) Steve Smith led the Panthers with seven receptions for 87 yards and a touchdown against the Dolphins in Week 7. Analysis: It could have been so much better. Smith was open all night against single coverage, including twice on deep balls, but Jake Delhomme consistently under- or over-threw his playmaker. His leaping 27-yard touchdown was a reminder that he catches in traffic as well as any receiver in the league. Smith will see plenty of shutdown corner Darrelle Revis next week, but he's tough to sit with three scores in his past two games.3 days
.Smith involved in minor car accident in Week (TheHuddle) The NFL Network, reports Carolina Panthers WR Steve Smith was involved in a minor car accident when he was traveling to Bank of America Stadium for the team's Week 11 game. He is fine and will be able to play in the game. Analysis: Smith is in the lineup and performing normally for the Panthers against the visiting Miami Dolphins. He is showing no ill effects from the accident and has already been targeted on several occasions with deep passes which indicates that the talented wideout is going full speed ahead in the game. Smith remains a solid No. 2 wideout for fantasy teams this year.3 days
.Steve Smith (RotoWire) Smith was involved in a minor car accident on the way to Thursday's games against Miami but will play, the Associated Press reports. His name does not appear on the inactive list. Analysis: A team official said somebody "bumped into" Smith's car, and it doesn't appear as if Smith sustained any injuries. There's no need to downgrade him or consider pulling him out of your lineup.3 days
.Panthers | Smith involved in minor car accident in Week 11 (KFFL) Jason La Canfora, of the NFL Network, reports Carolina Panthers WR Steve Smith was involved in a minor car accident when he was traveling to Bank of America Stadium for the team's Week 11 game. He is fine and will be able to play in the game. 3 days
.Bush misses second straight day of practice (FFChamps) New Orleans Saints running back Reggie Bush missed his second straight day of practice on Thursday due to swelling in his left knee. It's the same knee on which he underwent surgery last December to repair cartilage damage. Bush aggravated his knee during last week's game against the Rams in which he scored two touchdowns and rushed for a season high 83 yards. In an Associated Press report, Saints head coach Sean Payton said he is hopeful that Bush would practice Friday, but does not want to do anything that would set him back. Analysis: Just when fantasy owners were getting comfortable with the idea ... (More)3 days
.Steve Smith involved in car accident (Rotoworld) Steve Smith was involved in a minor car accident en route to Thursday's game against the Dolphins, but it won't affect his playing status. Analysis: Team spokesman Charlie Dayton said somebody "bumped into Smith," but the receiver was uninjured and will start against Miami. With Jake Delhomme starting to exhibit some stability, we Smith ranked No. 16 among fantasy WRs this week.3 days
.Steve Smith (RotoWire) Smith is fully expected to play Thursday night against the Dolphins. He was not listed on the injury report all week. Analysis: Smith hurt his ribs during last Sunday's win over Atlanta, but should be at or near 100 percent on Thursday night. He is safe to start.3 days
.Reggie Bush's left knee acting up (Rotoworld) The swelling that has kept Reggie Bush out of practice this week is to the left knee that has given him trouble in the past. Analysis: "Hopefully we can practice him tomorrow," said coach Sean Payton. "At the same time, I don't want to set it back." Bush is coming off a heavier than usual workload at St. Louis, and the knee flareup will likely have Payton thinking twice about expanding his role down the stretch.3 days
.Reggie Bush (RotoWire) Bush missed another day of practice Thursday with some swelling in his left knee, the New Orleans Times-Picayune reports. "He got his treatment early in the week, and we're just trying to see if we can get it close to 100 percent right now," Coach Sean Payton said Thursday. "So we'll see where he's at tomorrow. Hopefully we can practice him tomorrow. At the same time, I don't want to set it back." Analysis: As a result, there's starting to be some doubt that he will be a go for Sunday's game at Tampa Bay. More on the status of Bush, who has had issues with the same knee in the past, on Friday.3 days
.Randy Moss (RotoWire) Moss, whose absence from practice Wednesday was termed "not injury related," was removed from the Patriots' practice participation/injury report Thursday, ESPN.com reports. Analysis: There's a chance that Moss may show up as "probable" Friday, but we fully expect him to be good to go Sunday against the Jets.3 days
.Bush misses practice Thursday (TheHuddle) The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports New Orleans Saints RB Reggie Bush (knee) did not participate in practice Thursday, Nov. 19. Head coach Sean Payton said Bush has some swelling in his knee. Analysis: This looks like a precautionary move more than anything, for now at least. If Bush isn't practicing on Friday, there will be some significant doubt regarding his availability for Sunday's game against Tampa Bay.3 days
.Saints | Bush misses practice Thursday (KFFL) Jeff Duncan, of the New Orleans Times-Picayune, reports New Orleans Saints RB Reggie Bush (knee) did not participate in practice Thursday, Nov. 19. Head coach Sean Payton said Bush has some swelling in his knee. 3 days
.Reggie Bush misses practice again (Rotoworld) Reggie Bush (knee) missed practice again Thursday. Analysis: Coach Sean Payton indicated that Bush is dealing with swelling in his knee, though there's no indication that he's in danger of missing this week's game at Tampa. Bush is no better than a flex play if he does suit up on Sunday.3 days
.Stokley splitting time in the slot (Rotoworld) Broncos beat writer Jeff Legwold says that coach Josh McDaniels doesn't want to use Brandon Stokley on the outside and his slot snaps are getting split. Analysis: Basically, Stokley is a spot player and not worthy of fantasy consideration. Jabar Gaffney takes time away from him in the slot, and Eddie Royal plays there a little too. Stokley has gone without a catch in four of his last six games.3 days
.Bush sits out practice (FFChamps) Saints running back Reggie Bush did not practice on Wednesday because of a knee injury. According to The New Orleans Times-Picayune, Bush was held out for precautionary reasons. Analysis: Bush wore a sleeve over his knee after tweaking it in last Sunday's game against the Rams and played fine afterwards. Missing practice on Wednesday does not raise any alarms on Bush for Sunday's game against the Bucs.4 days

.Reggie Bush misses practice (Rotoworld) Reggie Bush missed Saints practice Wednesday with a knee injury. Analysis: Bush is coming off his best game (98 total yards, two touchdowns) of the season. There's no indication that the injury will sideline him for Week 11.4 days
.Reggie Bush (RotoWire) Bush missed practice Wednesday with a knee injury, the New Orleans Times-Picayune's Jeff Duncan reports. Analysis: Bush tweaked his knee during last Sunday's win over the Rams and played with a sleeve on his leg in the second half. Coach Sean Payton indicated the injury isn't serious and that Wednesday's absence was more of a maintenance day than anything else. There's no reason for Bush owners to worry at this point.4 days
.Fred Jackson (RotoWire) The Bills plan to continue running the Wildcat offense -- where Jackson is the primary ball handler -- after having some success with it last week, BuffaloBills.com reports. Jackson threw a touchdown pass to Lee Evans in the loss. Analysis: It'll be interesting to see if interim coach Perry Fewell uses Jackson more than Dick Jauron had been, as Marshawn Lynch continues to get a bigger share of the carries. Jackson is one of the league's better No. 2 backs because he's in a timeshare and gets on the field in return situations and Wildcat formations, but his value is still nowhere near what it was when Lynch was on suspension.4 days
.Phillips admits Jones struggles in prote... (Rotoworld) Cowboys coach Wade Phillips admitted that Felix Jones' struggles in pass protection keep him off the field. Analysis: Phillips says he wants to feature Jones more, but prefers to have Marion Barber or Tashard Choice out there when pass protection is needed. "He's just not as adept at it yet," Phillips said. Jones should probably be on fantasy benches unless an injury strikes Barber or Choice.4 days
.Reggie Bush was big part of game plan (Rotoworld) Reggie Bush was in for 17 of the Saints' first 26 snaps in the team's Week 10 win over St. Louis. Analysis: Clearly, the Saints game planned for Bush to have a major role. He played just five of New Orleans' last 30 plays, however, with Mike Bell and Pierre Thomas dominating the backfield in the second half. Bush might've earned a slightly larger role with his 98-yard, two-TD effort, but ultimately he only got eight touches. Thomas remains the best RB fantasy play in the Nola.5 days
.Steve Smith (RotoWire) Smith (ribs) hasn't been listed on the Panthers' injury report on Monday or Tuesday. Analysis: It's possible that he'll end up being listed as probable after Wednesday's practice, but Smith's rib injury suffered on his second TD catch of Sunday's win over Atlanta appears to be a non-issue. Smith and the Panthers have a very favorable matchup on Thursday against a Dolphins secondary that ranks 27th in the NFL against the pass (239.4 YPG, 11 TD allowed).5 days
.Steelers | Parker to see action every third series (KFFL) Ed Bouchette, of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, reports Pittsburgh Steelers RB Willie Parker will likely be utilized every third series at least on offense for the time being. "Get back to work every third series,'' Parker said of the plan. "I just have to do something." Parker said he is over his toe injury, although he will continue to wear the special Nike shoes built for him the rest of the season. "I'm ready to get on that field now. It's just a matter of time. I'm waiting patiently. I'm waiting and, when my time comes, my number is called, I have to make the best of it." 5 days
.Carson Palmer (RotoWire) Palmer threw for only 178 yards in 30 attempts in Sunday's win over the Steelers, and didn't lead the team for any offensive touchdowns. Analysis: Palmer misfired a few times early when the Bengals were driving, forcing them to either settle for a field goal or even punt the ball away. However, he did do a good job of not forcing any passes that led to interceptions - as it turns out, the Bengals' lack of turnovers was a huge factor in the game.5 days
.Phillips says he wants to feature Jones ... (Rotoworld) Cowboys coach Wade Phillips said "we need to feature" Felix Jones more. Analysis: Since coming back from his knee injury in Week 7, Jones has averaged just 6.5 touches per game on offense. He's a big play threat, but the Cowboys also have to get Marion Barber and Tashard Choice their touches. Keep Jones reserved until we see him have a bigger role on the field.5 days
.Panthers | Smith hopes to be ready for Week 11 (KFFL) Steve Reed, of CarolinaGrowl.com, reports Carolina Panthers WR Steve Smith (ribs) said he hopes to play in Week 11 after injuring his ribs in Week 10. 6 days
.Jason Avant (RotoWire) Avant erupted for seven catches and 156 receiving yards in the Eagles' loss to the Chargers on Sunday. Analysis: Avant's career-day was aided by the fact Donovan McNabb attempted 55 passes, but he was impressive nevertheless. Still, Avant remains no better than the Eagles' fourth option in the passing attack, so don't expect even close to similar production moving forward.6 days
.Donovan McNabb (RotoWire) McNabb went 35-of-55 for 450 passing yards with two touchdowns and one interception during the Eagles' loss Sunday. Analysis: McNabb completed 63.6 percent of his passes and got 8.2 YPA on a whopping 55 attempts through the the air. It was a big performance, but McNabb and the Eagles' struggles in the red zone and in short-yardage situations have become a real problem.6 days
.Fred Jackson (RotoWire) Jackson carried eight times for 48 yards in Sunday's loss to Tennessee. He also had 167 yards on kickoff returns. Analysis: In leagues that count those return yards, Jackson is still valuable, but in most leagues the return of Marshawn Lynch has wiped out his early season value. Jackson has had single-digit carries the last three games, and hasn't gained over 52 rushing yards since Week 3, the last week of Lynch's suspension.6 days
.Panthers WR Smith expected to 'be fine' (Rotoworld) According to beat writer Steve Reed, Steve Smith's Week 10 ribs injury is unlikely to keep him out of action going forward. Analysis: Smith's ribs are only bruised, and he should be ready for Week 11 despite the Panthers being on a short week. They square off with Miami on Thursday.6 days
.Shaun Suisham (RotoWire) Suisham was 2/2 in field goals and 3/3 in extra points on Sunday. He is a perfect 12/12 on the season with a long of 48 yards. Analysis: Suisham has improved from a poor 2008 and is no longer looking over his shoulder each week. Keep in mind Week 10 was the first time the 'Skins scored over 17 points in a game so his opportunities are limited.6 days
.Steve Smith (RotoWire) Smith suffered a minor rib injury on his second TD catch of the day against the Falcons on Sunday, the Gaston Gazette reports. Analysis: He did not record another catch after suffering the injury, but Smith finished the game and caught four passes for 34 yards and a pair of scores. Smith said that he's OK and that he expects to play against the Dolphins on Thursday night.6 days
.Eagles abandoning the run (Rotoworld) The Eagles called eight runs out of their 33 first half plays in their Week 10 loss to the Chargers. Analysis: The Eagles abandoned their running game while the game was still close. They have no confidence at all in their short yardage or red zone ground attack right now and that doesn't figure to change much with Brian Westbrook out indefinitely. This offense is always a "pass first" scheme, but Donovan McNabb could be asked to chuck it around more than ever over the final seven games.6 days
.Parker plays just two downs against Cinc... (Rotoworld) Willie Parker played just two downs against the Bengals Sunday. Analysis: He played just one down the previous week against Denver. Parker is obviously no threat to Rashard Mendenhall's starting job.6 days

.Clark catches four passes in Week 10 win (Rotoworld) Dallas Clark caught four passes for 65 yards in Week 10. Analysis: The Patriots made it a point to stop Clark and were largely successful. Of course, keying in on a tight end will clear space for other receivers and that's how the Colts staged their incredible comeback. Clark remains an exceptional TE1 heading into Week 11 against the Ravens.7 days
