| Any thoughts on how the Houston/Baltimore game may be handled now that it is cancelled for Monday and not yet rescheduled? I imagine the stats would apply when played but not sure what kind of delay may be in store. |

| Hey guys- I just sent this out across the GLFFL world using our message board with 400+ members but if you could also pass the word along to owners in your leagues it would be greatly appreciated. We're still trying to sort out what's going to happen with this week's Baltimore/Houston game, originally scheduled for Sunday, then moved to Monday night and now apparently cancelled. If the game is moved to a later week in the season (as some are reporting is going to happen) and this week becomes the bye week for Baltimore and Houston, we know the stats for the game will count in the week it's going to be played. However, the problem we're running into involves those who got left out in the cold by the lack of direction from what the league was going to do and the late announcement of the cancellation, taking place after many of the final waivers of the week had already run. Having said that, we sent out the following email to our members: Just a quick note as we keep checking NFL.com to see what's going on with the Baltimore-Houston game that initially was moved from Sunday to Monday night and now looks to be postponed. Still no word has come down from the NFL office as to whether the game is going to be moved to a new location, bumped back another day or placed somewhere later in the season. In 18 years as a commissioner, I've never come across this situation so it's something we're dealing with for the first time. Many of the GLFFL leagues have waiver moves on Wednesday night, followed by a second set of waivers on Saturday afternoon. No word on a possible postponement of the game had come down as of 1 p.m. today so we are hearing from many owners who want to know if they're out of luck if they have a Baltimore or Houston player without any prospects of whether the game is going to be played. I'm still holding out hope that the game gets moved to a new location so we don't have to deal with the question of when this game's stats will count. However, in the absence of any word from the NFL, we are planning the following solution: In the event the game is canceled with no word on a replacement date within the framework of Week 2, we are going to allow owners who have a Houston or Baltimore player currently slotted for their starting lineup to pick up a fill in player FOR THIS WEEK ONLY. You can only use this option if you are looking for a replacement player that will go into your starting lineup for this week only. If the players on your bench would end up replacing the Houston or Baltimore player now not playing, you cannot use the free waiver choice. It has to be to fill a void left by a Houston or Baltimore player that would have started. Then, after the games of this week are complete, the player you selected and started will be returned to the Free Agent pool, and will be eligible for selection by the rest of the league during Wednesday's waivers. There may be little left in the FA pool, but at least you get a chance to start a player that is actually playing this week. Look over your lineup situations and if this applies to you, email me the name of a selection that you plan to use for this exemption. I won't add the player to your starting lineup until I know definitely that the game has not only been postponed, but also not rescheduled or relocated for Week Two's action. On another note, we are also looking to offer a Second Chance League that will do a live draft on Friday, Sept. 19th that will feature 10 teams using Classic League rules. If you are interested and available for a live draft that will start around 7:30 p.m. ET next Friday, email me and we'll get that up and running. Cost to play will be $75. Thanks for bearing with us in this very unique situation. Kirk Pavelich Founder, www.glffl.net Everyday. Year Round. Fantasy Football is all we do.
