| I have created this piece in other leagues to help encourage current team owners to stay after this season is finished and help create new ones for those who don't so that Kirk doesn't have to get stressed out in trying to find owners in this league. MFL is slowly erasing information from past years so I'm updating some of the information before it disappears from the site: This league had its original draft on August 29th, 1999. The first pick ever selected was Davis, Terrell DEN RB selected by Young Guns. Like the rest of the Refugee and Ghost leagues with Great Lakes Fantasy Football Leagues (GLFFL), Refugees of 24 originally started out as the Empire Fantasy Sports 62 with KFFL as our host. Then in the early spring of 2007 KFFL decided with very little notice that they didn't want to host Fantasy sports leagues any more and kicked all of their leagues out the door with little to no notice rendering us homeless. GLFFL founder Kirk Pavelich picked us up and added we were added to the Refugee family and Great Lakes has been providing us with great customer service ever since and the rest is history......... I''m not sure how many original owners are still around so please speak up if you are. My best guess and comments around the league would suggest that there is only one owners that are still around since the original draft: Grunt #5 (later renamed MISANTHROPES) The past League Champions are: 2007 The Goons 2006 The Stones 2005 Blind Faith 24 2004 The Golden Flashers II 2003 Goldrush 2002 Acers 2001 Dominators 2 2000 Bacardi II 1999 Grunt #5 (Undefeated) |

| MISANTHROPES = Grunt #5. I was in the original draft. This team was my 5th KFL dynasty team, hence the name Grunt #5. |

Its hard to trace from year to year because some of the data is missing and thats why I'm trying to get it all together before the rest of the info disappears. |

| I noticed that all of the older leagues that I've participated in has just one team that was there since day one...this league is no different apparently |

| I think Don Beltane is the next senior owner. Spanky's & Baccardi (2 original teams) are friends of mine from Northern Michigan. Baccardi later changed name to Deacon Blues, think he dropped out 2 yrs ago. |

| Seeing that you have tenure: Would you like to see all of the teams that was in this league added to the history along with the years that they were here. It would help out with retention and provide a quick stroll down memory lane with some of the classic battles.........The actual scores are still under the "Records" section. |
