Banditos win 2008 SFL Super Bowl! But the year is not over yet!  ALL STAR MANAGER'S CHALLENGE and NFL PLAYOFF CHALLENGE STILL TO GO.  IF you want to participate in the ASMC - send me a private message with your lineup (normal lineup rules apply) using ANY playing NFL players in week 17 (not limited to you actual team roster).  $5 a sheet - winner take all.  Info on NFL PLAYOFF CHALLENGE will come following week 17 games.

2008 Final Rankings and draft order.  Rankings determined by 2008 performance and tie-breakers.  Draft order by worst-record, best points.  Reminder: waiver pickup priority through the end of the playoffs is: lottery pick by non-playoff teams, then lower-to-higher seated playoff teams with NEW injury status players (claimed players for playoff teams that use new-injury priority can not be kept for 2009).

(MyFantasyLeague.com Fantasy Times Sources - Dec 22, 2008) In a week 16 Sports Fantasy Leagues showdown, Gracie's Irish Banditos embarrassed a hapless Dark Lemmings team by a score of 299 to 194, silencing a partisan crowd of 71,329.

Gracie's Irish Banditos were led to their 105 point victory by a 57 point effort from Jay Cutler, who tore apart the Buffalo Bills defense for 359 passing yards in addition to 30 rushing yards. They also got help from a 56 point effort from Marques Colston, who got by the Detroit Lions defense for 99 receiving yards and 2 receiving TDs.

"We knew we had to defend our home turf," Gracie's Irish Banditos coach Thomas O'Hara said.

Dark Lemmings were helped out in a losing cause by a 44 point effort from Aaron Rodgers, who got by the Chicago Bears defense for 260 passing yards and 2 passing TDs. They also got help from a 34 point effort from Dominic Rhodes, who snuck past the Jacksonville Jaguars defense for 27 rushing yards in addition to 62 receiving yards.

"They out-hustled us," Dark Lemmings coach Tyler Klanderud said.

Compounding the issue, Dark Lemmings could have scored 309 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Tyler Klanderud left key players like Chad Pennington and his corresponding 66 points on the bench.

Dark Lemmings drew the short straw with their schedule this week, as their point total would have resulted in a win against 11 out of 12 other potential opponents in week 16.

This brings the record for Gracie's Irish Banditos to 9-4, and drops Dark Lemmings to a record of 8-5.
