(MyFantasyLeague.com Fantasy Times Sources - Dec 22, 2008) In a week 16 Ghost of 25 League matchup, *The JoJo's squeaked by a tough *But I'm not dead! team by a score of 128.05 to 115.50, silencing a partisan crowd of 68,380. With their 128.05 points, *The JoJo's is now the proud record-holder of the 20th-highest weekly point total in league history.
*The JoJo's were led to their 12.55 point victory by a 36.35 point effort from Philip Rivers, who got by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense for 287 passing yards and 4 passing TDs. With this performance, Rivers was the number 2 ranked overall fantasy scorer for week 16. They also got help from a 18.10 point effort from Kevin Smith, who beat the New Orleans Saints defense for 111 rushing yards and 1 rushing TD. "This was a confidence booster," *The JoJo's coach Jim Piatt said. *But I'm not dead! were helped out in a losing cause by a 26.00 point effort from Aaron Rodgers, who got by the Chicago Bears defense for 260 passing yards and 2 passing TDs. They also got help from a 20.70 point effort from Antonio Bryant, who beat the San Diego Chargers defense for 127 receiving yards and 1 receiving TD. "They've had our number all season," *But I'm not dead! coach Anon said. Causing further embarrassment, *But I'm not dead! could have scored 146.50 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Anon left key players like Jeff Garcia and his corresponding 28.10 points on the bench. *But I'm not dead! drew the short straw with their schedule this week, as their point total would have resulted in a win against 8 out of 10 other potential opponents in week 16. This brings the record for *The JoJo's to 11-4, and drops *But I'm not dead! to a record of 10-5. | ||
