With their 146.35 points, *Alakanuk Braves is now the proud record-holder of the 20th-highest weekly point total in league history.
*Alakanuk Braves were led to their 23.35 point victory by a 30.55 point effort from Drew Brees, who tore apart the Detroit Lions defense for 351 passing yards and 2 passing tds. They also got help from a 26.20 point effort from Brandon Jacobs, who got by the Carolina Panthers defense for 87 rushing yards and 3 rushing tds in addition to 5 receiving yards. "We feed off the energy of our fans," *Alakanuk Braves coach Anon said. *Goons were helped out in a losing cause by a 38.70 point effort from Tyler Thigpen, who beat the Miami Dolphins defense for 320 passing yards and 2 passing tds in addition to 57 rushing yards. With this performance, Thigpen was the number 1 ranked overall fantasy scorer for week 16. They also got help from a 17.30 point effort from Pierre Thomas, who got by the Detroit Lions defense for 77 rushing yards and 1 rushing td in addition to 26 receiving yards. "They out-hustled us," *Goons coach Gump said. *Goons drew the short straw with their schedule this week, as their point total would have resulted in a win against 9 out of 10 other potential opponents in week 16. This brings the record for *Alakanuk Braves to 12-3, and drops *Goons to a record of 11-4. | ||
